Utah Talons Go Back-to-Back, Cementing Their Place in AUSL History

ScoreClub Sports  /  July 28, 2026

The Utah Talons have done it again.

The Talons captured their second consecutive Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) championship, defeating the Chicago Bandits in a two-game championship series sweep and adding another trophy to a rapidly growing legacy.

After making history by winning the inaugural AUSL championship in 2025, Utah returned to the championship stage in 2026 determined to prove that their first title was no fluke. They delivered.

A Championship Series Sweep

The Talons opened the 2026 championship series with a 2-1 victory over the Chicago Bandits on Saturday, July 25. With the championship within reach, Utah came back the following day and delivered a dominant 6-1 victory on Sunday, July 26, at Davis Diamond in College Station, Texas.

The two-game sweep gave the Talons their second straight championship and established them as the first back-to-back champions in the league’s young history.

Allchin Named Championship Series MVP

Outfielder Jadelyn Allchin played a major role in Utah’s championship run, earning Championship Series MVP honors.

Her performance helped fuel the Talons’ offense and provided the kind of clutch production needed to finish the series against a talented Chicago Bandits team.

Allchin’s MVP performance added another highlight to an unforgettable championship weekend for Utah.

Montana Fouts Delivers When It Matters Most

While the offense provided the firepower, pitcher Montana Fouts delivered the finishing touch.

Fouts threw a complete game in the decisive championship-clinching victory, helping the Talons shut down the Bandits and secure the 6-1 win.

It was a statement performance from one of the game’s premier pitchers and the perfect way to close out a championship season.

From Inaugural Champions to a Dynasty in the Making?

The Talons’ journey is becoming one of the most compelling stories in women’s professional softball.

In August 2025, Utah won the inaugural AUSL championship against the Chicago Bandits. Less than a year later, the Talons found themselves facing the same opponent with another championship on the line.

The result was the same—but this time, Utah left no doubt.

2025: Inaugural AUSL Champions

2026: Back-to-Back AUSL Champions

2026 Championship Series: Utah defeats Chicago, 2-0

Two championships in two seasons have put the Utah Talons at the center of the AUSL conversation.

A New Standard for the Talons

Back-to-back championships are never easy. They require talent, consistency, leadership and the ability to perform under pressure.

The Utah Talons have shown all of those qualities.

With championship performances from stars like Jadelyn Allchin and Montana Fouts, Utah has established a winning culture that could define the early years of the AUSL.

The Talons aren’t simply celebrating another championship. They’re building a legacy.

Two years. Two titles. One growing dynasty.

And if this is only the beginning, the rest of the AUSL may have a serious problem on its hands.

Congratulations to the Utah Talons—the 2026 AUSL Champions! 🏆🥎💜💛
